Christmas 2024 Orders Are OPEN!

 

Yes - as early as it seems, it's time to talk about Christmas!

Because those extra-special gifts take time, and in order to get one of my packages ready for the big day itself, I need you to get in touch by 6pm GMT on 25th October 2024.

This is the Very, Very, Last date I can accept Christmas orders this year - to allow me time to both create your package, and post it.

Earlier really is better, as it gives me more time to complete the research, and make your unique gift extra-special.

But, for those of you who would rather wait, I can arrange e-mail gift certificates right up until 1pm GMT on 23rd December.

- This also has the advantage of letting the recipient give me the information needed to start my research, which is handy if you're unsure on details.

The last date for postal gift certificates is 10am GMT on Tuesday 17th December 2023 - this means I can get them printed & posted by the last post date. I am not responsible for any postal delays.

My branch or double-branch packages really do make beautiful and thoughtful gifts, with the finished research coming in a lovely paperback book form (with other printing options available.)

I know, I know - it's October. 

But those extra-special gifts take time, and in order to get one of my packages ready for the big day itself, I need you to get in touch by 6pm GMT on 31st October 2023.

This is the Very Last date I can accept Christmas orders.

I know it feels early to be thinking about Christmas, but yes, it is that time again!

Because of the nature of my packages, I need time to do the research that makes each and every one so special.

That means that the very last date for Christmas 2022 orders is 31st October 2022

My Branch and Double-Branch packages in particular make for excellent presents, printed beautifully and entirely unique to your family.

It's been a strange year, and if you're anything like me, you want Christmas to come sooner rather than later!

So, to give you all a chance for some hands-free shopping, I've decided to open Christmas orders a month early this year.

It's the perfect opportunity to purchase that special present without having to pick your way through concerningly claustrophobic crowds, or meander through throngs who don't seem to get the whole 'please wear a mask and stay 2 metres apart' thing.

The last day to place your orders for completion by Christmas will be 31st October 2020.

The sooner you place your order, the more time I have to make it that little bit more special!

Last-Minute Christmas Presents?

We've all been there - you're wrapping up the presents and suddenly you remember that you forgot to get anything for Aunt So-and-So, or Uncle Whatsisname.

Or wait! Your sister said she was gonna be away for Christmas! And now she's not! You haven't got her a present yet!

What do you do?!

Well, instead of running out to grab the last battered box of chocolates in the shop, or a bottle of bargain booze, why not turn that last minute panic into something special?

I can help you out.

If you e-mail me with the details before December 24th, I can create and e-mail back a personalised gift-certificate.

Sounds good, but what does it mean?

Let me break it down:

• You tell me what package you want (details of my packages are available on my website)

• You tell me what you'd like the gift certificate to say

• I create the gift certificate and e-mail you a PDF (printable) copy, along with an order form for the recipient to fill in with the information I need to start researching.

• You print out the certificate and form (or e-mail it,) and give it to the intended recipient.

• I will invoice you for the full amount of the package you selected, plus £10.50 P&P. If the recipient wants extra copies of the research, or for it to be printed in a different format, that will incur extra fees.

• Once I have payment, and the information I need from the recipient, I'll get started on fulfilling the special gift you ordered!

As long as you e-mail me BEFORE 24th Dec 2018, I should be able to help you out!

Wait... It's That Time Already?! Christmas Order Dates

It's time to think about Christmas!

Don't panic! You haven't fallen into a time-warp, it's still October, I promise!

But in order for me to have your research all wrapped up and shiny under the tree, I need time to do it in!

That means that my Very Last (with capital letters) order date for that special Christmas gift is 31st October.

After this date, I just can't get it done in time.

And of course, the earlier you order, the more time I have to make that gift extra-special!

The 15th series of Who Do You Think You Are? starts this week with Michelle Keegan, actress from BBC series Our Girl.

I know it may not feel like it now, but the truth is that December 25^th is less than three months away!

It's also advisable that if you want a common surname researched (Jones, Smith, Williams, etc.) you order early!

It takes time to unravel the details of numerous individual William Jones'!

Tomorrow is 2016. I hope you have an excellent one and have a good time as we say goodbye to 2015.

If you're interested in family history, then this is the time that many pick up the hobby and the habit. It's enjoyable and rewarding to find out more about your family's past.

A word of caution: you may find that it's not as easy as it looks!

Exciting News!

I just wanted to let you know that there's some exciting news about my packages - they will now be printed as standard in A4 paperback book format!

You can still get the old loose-leaf Rapesco (or similar) binder format for an additional £20, or have the book printed in A4 hardback book format for an additional £15.
